First Aid Course

Justin and I attended a First Aid Training Course today. I'd been very nervous about the whole choking thing since Atti started solids so we thought it was in everyone's best interests if we did the right thing and got ourselves accredited. The course was pretty comprehensive so hopefully I'll remember it all if it ever comes to that (which God willing it won't)!

Atti's hearing test & 8 month check up

Weight - 8592gms (18 pounds 15 ounces)
Length - 71cms
Head Circumference - 45.82 cms

Atti's gained 418gms in the past month. He also passed his hearing test with flying colours which was a relief! He's now just below the 50% percentile for weight which is really good.

Amy, Grant & Aurora came over this evening for a night of Indian take out and Hell Boy on DVD! The little ones are so gorgeous together.

A damn fine time was had by all but unfortunately we didn't make it all the way through the flick as Miss Rora was a bit put out at not being put in her own bed for sleepys.

Looking forward to many a night like this to come. Amy & Grant are our sort of folk (comic nerds) ;-)

Coolabindi Orientation

Atticus and I did orientation at his child care centre today. He's going to be going in one day a week (Wednesdays) to give me a bit of a rest (and a chance to catch up on the housework)! He seemed fine and the girl (Tammy) was really nice so hopefully it won't be too much of a painful experience. I'm not sure I'll know what to do with myself without him though.
