Birthday Boy

My younger man turned 30 today! I took him out for a pancake breakfast and then, after Atti's swimming lesson, we headed off to his folks house for some cake, singing and other festivities. Justin was thoroughly spoilt and is yet to realise just how much so as the ipod video that we've all conspired to order him from the states is yet to arrive.

This evening Atti is having his first ever sleep over with the Grands as Justin and I dine at the Mexicali Rose restaurant in Richmond. Unfortunately this is also the weekend of the start of daylight savings so we won't be getting as substantial a sleep in as first thought but "beggars can't be choosers" as the saying goes and we are not complaining!

Katie Olivia Rae Batchelor

I visited the absolutely gorgeous Katie Olivia Rae Batchelor this afternoon. Daughter of Scott & Sharon Batchelor and sister to Amey. Born on Monday, 17th October, 2005 at 10.15am Weight: 8lbs 2oz Length: 47 cm with black-ish hair. Not even assisting Sharon in changing her soiled nappy was enough to fend off my clucky hormones! She is so beautiful!!! Congratulations Scott & Sharon.

Swimming Classes

We're doing swimming classes again this term at Paul Sadler. Atticus threw a huge tantrum at the beginning of the class as he didn't want to get into the pool, splashed happily for ten minutes then threw one of equal merit when it came time to get him out. He's officially mastered the art of blowing bubbles in the pool though. Top of the class at that one!

Yarrunga Reserve

Atti & I met up with Lis & Trent today at the Yarrunga Reserve. Both boys are very similar in temperament so got along very well and I think they'll be great mates in the future!

We had an extremely hectic day today! Justin and I took Atticus down to the petting zoo at Target Square in the morning where Atti crawled around in animal poo while a big fat white goat stole all of his food. He was a big fan of the ducks and chickens in particular.

After lunch we met Justin's folks and his Brother Andrew in at the Fitzroy Gardens where we had a belated celebration for Andrew's Birthday and lazed around on the grass watching Atti's long overdue attempts at walking.
