The Atticus Chronicles

Howdy Folks! After waiting very patiently for my husband to set up a web page for my son for almost a year I figured it was high time that I took matters into my own hands. Introducing our Family Blog! I hope to get on here fairly regularly to let you all know about the adventures of our family and to post the latest pic's of Atticus. Stay tuned ...

Fitzroy Gardens - 2nd Wedding Anniversary

Justin, Atticus & I spent the afternoon in the Fitzroy Gardens for our second wedding anniversary. It was our first family picnic ever! Atti especially enjoyed us feeding the seagulls!

Atti's First Christmas

We had a HUGE day on Christmas this year with Atticus receiving a record amount of presents and having more fun eating the wrapping paper than playing with the actual presents themselves! We spent a quiet breakfast together before heading over to Justin's folks for a lunch time feast and a morning full of present opening, binge eating and extensive photo taking. Atti was a tad bit on the tired side my the time we got him home but after an afternoon nap was all too happy to get back into the swing of things by the time my parents arrived for dinner. I can't wait for next year!

How is it that Dee has escaped from all of these pictures?

Solids

Atti's recently started rolling over onto his tummy at night and waking himself up ... he doesn't know how to roll back the other way yet so it seem like we're endlessly going back and forth into the nursery to sort him out! Hopefully he'll work it out soon! We used to wrap Atticus too until he started rolling. One night he just started and I found him on his tummy but still wrapped so he couldn't roll back or push himself up with his arms so he was face down and very angry! We had to give the wrap the flick then. It only took a couple of days for him to settle down again ... at first I thought that without a wrap and with the rolling that our good sleeper was gone forever but he's learnt that he can roll back and to sleep on his tummy and it's all good again. It's just different ... every time I think I have it all under control he goes and moves the goal posts! That's what keeps it interesting I guess?!

He started solids yesterday (rice cereal mixed with pears) and he's quite a fan! I'd heard lots of stories about babies not liking rice cereal so I expected it to come back out at me but he thought it was quite tasty!

I'm pretty sure there's three teeth coming through in there somewhere. My poor boobies may never be the same!

Atti is smiling and rolling and talking heaps (in his language anyway). We have enroled him in swimming lessons that start in January so that should be heaps of fun and Gymboree in Feb. The more he grows the more fun we have together and the less likely it is that I'll go back to work ... I just can't imagnie missing a moment of this!

Love at first sight?

Today Atticus and I were fortunate enough to meet up with the fabulous Amy & Aurora. Aurora and Atti (or the A Team as I like to call them) both share a love of the tasty Mr Buggada and seemed to hit it off pretty well (believe me it's bewilderment not fear in his eyes). Looking forward to many more catch ups of the binge variety and watching the little ones becoming fast friends/future soul mates?
